Cord Cutting Ceremonial Ritual

​We all have an energetic field and when we interact with others mentally, physically or spiritually, we create an energetic bond (known as a 'cord') with one another. An energy cord is not a physical substance, but is created from energy that exists between people who have an emotional connection, and it is this emotional energy that gets transferred between those to whom it is connected.  Even if we are no longer physically interacting with another person, we may still be connected with them energetically. Cords can be formed with co-workers, friends, family members, lovers, ex-spouses and even groups and communities of people. However, energetic cords are not exclusive to just people. We can also form attachments to places, behavioural patterns, habits and addictions.

Our Cord Cutting Ritual has been designed to help you break any energetic bonds you have created; whoever or whatever they have been formed with.  Following a consultation with you therapist to discuss who/what you wish to release, we start the session with a relaxing, guided meditation before calling in the energy of the person/issue you are releasing.  Your therapist will then gently guide you in the cutting of the energetic cord which is done by visualisation.  The ritual then continues with the cleansing of your aura and chakras to enable the clearing and removal of negative energies, followed by Reiki healing to restore positive energy flow.

 

To bring a touch of ceremony and personalisation to the session, we can also use candles and cord whilst the session takes place.  A length of twine is twisted around two candles which symbolises the bond you have with whoever/whatever you are releasing.  During the session, the flame from the candles burn through the twine, adding a visual representation to the ceremony and signifying the severing of the energetic tie.
