Reiki Healing
Reiki is a gentle, complementary healing practice which treats the whole person - mind, body and spirit. Reiki healing's primary function is to restore balance. It is an extremely relaxing and soothing experience which helps to eliminate stress, promote calm and relaxation and help the body’s own natural healing process. As Reiki practitioners, we don't create energy or 'give' you energy but instead, we act as conduits for the Universal life force energy that exists around us and during a session, we work by channeling this energy in order to promote your body's natural healing response. We work with your body's energy system to restore natural energy flow for optimum health and well being. Reiki can help with the following:

-
Reduce anxiety and depression
-
Boost mood and sense of wellbeing
-
Reduce pain
-
Improve circulation
-
Increase energy
-
Promote better sleep

Reiki is a very gentle, non-invasive 'light-touch' therapy (we can also use non-touch if this is your preference, without this affecting the treatment in any way). During a Reiki session with us, your therapist will ensure you are comfortable and provide you with blankets and pillows for your added comfort. We will then use gentle hand placements on key areas of the body in-line with your energy centres (Chakras). We are guided largely by our intuition and the training we have received, to the areas of the body where more healing needs to be directed.

Reiki is a subjective experience and everyone's experience will be unique to the individual, however, most people will report feelings of deep relaxation and calmness. Some see colours, vivid images and visions whilst others feel hot and/or cold spots and some tingling in their hands, feet and legs. These are all normal responses to the treatment and signals the flow of new energy into the body.

Session duration: 60 minutes.

*Reiki can be used as a complementary therapy alongside traditional medicine but should not be used in place or as an alternative to modern medical practices. Always follow the advice of your doctor when dealing with physical symptoms and ailments.
